JOAD – Junior Olympic Archery Development
Junior Olympic Archery Development Program, better known as “JOAD”.
JOAD is a nationwide program where certified coaches provide instruction for youth archers to help them progress in the sport at their own pace. If you are new to archery and are looking for an introductory program, JOAD has what you need to get started!
Learn important skills and earn awards for developing fundamental skills and scoring achievements. JOAD offers training and event preparation for all archery disciplines. We have rental equipment available, so that you can try archery first before investing in equipment.
We also offer the Adult Archery Program that allows adults to pursue this lifetime sport and earn awards.
Achievement Awards
JOAD Achievement Award Star Pins are awarded for scoring achievements. Archers can earn JOAD Achievement Award Stars Pins for shooting indoors and/or outdoors with barebow, basic compound, fixed pins, recurve and/or compound bows during official pin shoots or tournaments.
Each Star Pin is a different color, and each has a successive number of stars on it to represent the increasing challenge in earning that particular award pin.
